Stuart Barton, Chief Investment Officer of Volatility Shares, a crypto ETF expert, predicts that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve all spot Bitcoin ETF applications together.
Volatility Shares is the first company to have a leveraged crypto ETF approved in the US, with their 2x Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITX). They were also the first to file an application for an ether (ETH) futures-based ETF.
Despite the SEC not approving any of the many previous applicants for a spot Bitcoin ETF, other companies followed Volatility Shares in applying for one.
Barton's prediction is significant, as it suggests that the SEC may be more open to approving spot Bitcoin ETFs than previously thought. This would be a major boost for the cryptocurrency industry, as it would provide investors with a more accessible and regulated way to invest in Bitcoin.
It is important to note that Barton's prediction is just that - a prediction. The SEC has not yet given any indication of when or if it will approve a spot Bitcoin ETF. However, Barton's expertise in the field and the fact that his company has already had success with crypto ETFs make his prediction worth paying attention to.
